Motor vehicles
The main objective of the park is to protect the natural environment, but its founding principles aim to allow agricultural, forestry and grazing activities.

One the hand it is necessary to restrict public use of motor vehicles which pollute and disturb the tranquility, and on the other hand the farmers and foresters must be allowed to work the land. If you come across a motor vehicle, be aware that the disturbance is the price to pay for the agricultural management of the land.

An order of the park Director regulates motor traffic in the park; only rescue and police services are authorised. Agricultural professionals and landowners may ask for a personal permit for access, which they must display on their vehicle.

If you want to enter the Vanoise National Park with a vehicle:
- only one road is open to motor traffic: the D902 between Bonneval-sur-Arc and Val d'Isère.
- transport is available to take you on the track between Termignon and Entre-Deux-Eaux.
