| As a nature-lover,
you like animals and perhaps you think it quite normal to take your
dog with you into the mountains. |

|

 |
The
presence of a dog, however small, however well-trained, always has
an effect on a natural environment. |
A dog can destroy the chicks
of ground-nesting birds, or create panic in a flock of sheep or group
of wild animals grazing on the alpine pastures. A dog can also carry
diseases to which it is itself resistant, but which could infect and
decimate populations of wild mammals.
Dogs are therefore not allowed in the central zone of the park, except
for working sheepdogs used with the cattle and sheep.
Exceptions may also be made by the Park Director, for example, for
blind-dogs. |
Outside the Park
a dog on a lead is quite acceptable. You can leave your dog in a kennel:

example, for trained blind-dogs.
· Outside the Park, keep your dog under control, especially in the
presence of other animals. |
